In 2009 I established this blog account.

The idea of joining millions of bloggers in the blogosphere
sounded like a good idea at the time.

Information was abundant on what a blog could be.
What it should look like.
What people would want.

Written exercises were available on how to find my voice.
     How to develop a brand.

Choosing the right catchy tagline or arrangement of words for a
domain name was the next hurdle.

There are so many creative people out there...
I went with my name, since it wasn't taken.

No knowledge coupled with my lack of vision,
made all these choices more complicated!

One word that describes my experience is

o-v-e-r-w-h-e-l-m-i-n-g.

I've been rightly accused of being a perfectionist.
I don't mean to be. I don't want to be.

Maybe it's just pride that kept me from making my blog "public".

Or fear that my words would sound ridiculous.
That people wouldn't "get me".

It may have had more to do with God's timing.
He has taught me so many things in these three years.

The blog needed a certain look.
Somewhere between 'aesthetically sterile' and too 'fluffy and ♥-sy'.

Even when decisions were made, I was helpless to make them become a reality.
Words like avatar , favicon, hyperlink , and widget still leave me puzzled.

Thankfully, everything is possible for those who are stubborn persevere.

This is what I’ve come to:

I want this blog to reflect who I am deep in my soul.

It probably doesn’t fit what is recommended.

Sometimes I write with  my head.
Sometimes I write with my heart.

       One you will read.
The other will touch your soul.

Stop by with a cup of coffee ...wearing pajamas.

     I hope you’ll laugh.

…. or find a recipe you enjoy, from my 'foodie' roots.

This is a place that is real.

 A place of grace.

May you leave encouraged.

This blog will have my heart-prints all over it.

Meet me here on Mondays.

Welcome friend.
